Why are farmers being paid double to destroy crops?

So as you all know lately there's food shortages going around. Also there's not many delivery drivers but that's a lie, the government is lying to us they're paying farmers double to destroy the crops. I know you're asking why and that's why you need to think about it. Why cry about it and post it on the news? Doesn't it sound like they want to control people.
